pannelli-eva-foam
EVA Foam Panels — Drying System

High-density EVA Foam Panels are the core component of the HYDROPUMP™ technique: indirect contact humidification that slowly, uniformly, and capillarily transfers micro-humidity to the cardboard fibers—without ever directly wetting the paper.

How contact moisture transfer works:
The panels are lightly humidified with Antistatic Spray (just damp to the touch, never saturated or dripping). Placed above and below the paper with the translucent protective sheets, they create a sandwich that keeps the paper flat while moisture transfers by capillarity—the same principle as professional paper restoration in museums.

The fundamental difference with HUMIDITY STORM™:
With HYDROPUMP™, humidification and pressing occur simultaneously. The paper receives moisture while already under pressure. The active cycle lasts 30–60 minutes. Final dry pressing (24–48 hours, without foam) is always mandatory to make the result permanent.

The panels are reusable: after each session, let them dry completely on a flat surface before re-storing them.

⚠️ The foams should be just damp—never saturated. Check the paper every 15 minutes during the active cycle.
